Dreaming of the Topanga Hills is a very special piece that brings nostalgic joy. The hills in this painting are inspired by a picture I took near Topanga Canyon. At the time, the landscape was vibrant with the hills covered in bright green grass, luscious trees and blooming flowers. It felt like a dream I had as a child, when I would close my eyes and count sheep that would prance on by. This painting visualizes what I would see in those dreams.
